Who Needs A Hidden Camera In The Bedroom?

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

If you ever wondered why anyone would need a Hidden Camera In The Bedroom read on…

Hi, my name is Scott. My background is in sales, specifically in kitchen design. For the past 25 years, I’ve worked with contractors of all types. I’ve found most to be dedicated and caring individuals.

This story is true, though the names have been changed. It was related to me several months ago on a job that I designed.

Mike is a very high end contractor and we’ve worked together many times over the years. Mike is a general contractor. For those of you who haven’t done remodeling, a general contractor (or G.C.) runs the job. He hires other contractors (or subs) to do the framing, plumbing, electrical and finish. The G.C. usually hires the same subs over and over again for each progressive job.

On this particular job, Mike had mentioned to me that his cabinet installer was going very slowly. His work was good, but he was moving at a snail’s pace.

A few days later, Mike told me that his installer was caught sleeping in his customers master bedroom. Not only on the bed, but under the covers!

I instantly started laughing. I imagined the installer with palms pressed together (as if in prayer), sleeping peacefully unaware. I could also hear him making contented sleep noises like Curly from the Three Stooges. You know, “mmm b-b-b-b” “mmm b-b-b-b”.

Then I had a sobering thought. What if it was in my house? That image wasn’t quite as funny.

The installer was working alone in the house when this happened. So, how did he get caught? An Alarm Clock DVR, of course.

Sadly, the installer was fired. Happily, he entered rehab and is now doing better!
