Every Surveillance System needs a Video Recorder
What the camera sees must be stored on video for future reference. You will need to decide if you want to record your video digitally onto a DVR (digital video recorder) or onto VHS tapes using a VCR. We offer Digital, Stand Alone Embedded, Mini, Self Contained, 4 to 16 Channel DVRS and Intellispy DVR Cards.

What Video Recorder is right for you?
Digital Video Recorder (DVR) - Unlike VCR's, DVR's Record Video to a Computer hard drive or other media device such as a CD or DVD. This makes a DVR easy to maintain because there are no bulky video tapes to change and the risk of losing video quality when recording over previous footage is not an issue. DVR's can be operated and monitored remotely from anywhere in the world using the Internet. (with internet access). When surveillance video data is stored on a DVR it can be protected from loss caused by operating errors, tampering and accidents.

Embedded DVR's - (Stand Alone) do not use a Windows® operating system. In fact, there is no software at all on the hard drive. All functions of the DVR are contained (embedded) on software encoded computer chips. Embedded DVR’s allow you to view video in real time. The Embedded series Digital Video Recorders (DVR) operate just like a VCR, however they have many features that make them much more powerful and easier to use than even the most advanced VCR.

An Embedded DVR converts analog video (NTSC or PAL) to digital images, and records them onto a hard disk drive. Using a disk drive allows users to access recorded video almost instantaneously without having to rewind or fast forward tape. There is no need to adjust tracking and you can freeze frames and forward or rewind without image streaking or tearing. Digital video can be indexed by time/date or events, and users can instantly view video after selecting the time/date or event. All features of our Embedded DVR's can be controlled from the front panel or from any computer (except SA-DVR-4). The rear panel provides convenient connection access for video and audio input/output.

VISEC Surveillance Software turns your computer into a powerful Surveillance System.  You can connect up to four cameras and the video can be set up to record to your computer, VISEC's server or an FTP site. VISEC can run in hidden mode. This means that anyone using your computer would not know it is running.
